As some of you may have noticed I haven't posted anything for quite some time. Almost a month ago my nan died. I knew she was ill but I didn't really believe she would die. She was a tough old girl and I kind of hoped she would live for ever. She has always been such a big part of my life. She looked after me while my mum was at work. She was there on holidays, Christmas, birthdays, shopping trips, everything! It was such a shock the night I got the phone call. The past few weeks have gone by in a blur. I don't even remember most of the funeral, it's like a dream. I miss her so much it actually hurts inside. At the moment I have no motivation what so ever to craft. I have sat at my table and tried to colour but it's just not happening. As a result of this I have had to step down from two of my design teams. Hopefully I wont have to give up the other two teams I'm still on. I would like to say a big thank you to Rebekah and Jacki for their understanding and support while I take a break.
Nanny, thank you for the gift of love.
You had many things to say,
most, if not all in a caring way.
You always saw the good in everyone,
no matter what they've done.
You were always the one we could lean on.
You were always the strength of the family.
Now we must let you sleep.
You will always be in our hearts and minds.
As we say goodbye, as the tears roll down our faces,
we know your place in heaven has a good view.
Because your telling God,
''I need to keep an eye on a few.''
